It’s my personal belief that Dessa needs no introduction, but that’s just because in the past 2 years, I have discovered and cherished her music. She’s part of the Doomtree rap collective as well as being an author, teacher, and all-around great person. If you were to ask me what genre she belongs in, I’d have a tough time answering because her singing is so beautiful and her rapping is so smart and it’s just impossible to decide what takes precedence.
